Gardens
Members of the Philadelphia Unit are honored to have created two public herb gardens. We actively maintain them.
Members get our exercise, enjoy each other's company, and learn hands-on about growing herbs and their uses. While we deepen our knowledge of herbs by working in these gardens, it is a true delight to engage with the public and answer their questions about herb gardening.
The Philadelphia Unit gardens include:
-
A medicinal herb garden adjacent to the ruins of a Revolutionary war-era hospital.
